Prof. Marian Popescu is requested as an expert in performing arts, literature and cultural policies in Romania (AFCN, Romanian Cultural Institute, etc.) and at the European Commission in Brussels (Executive Agency for Culture, Education and Audiovisual). He is an advisor for Romania, member of the Board of the International Institute for Research and Action for Fraud and Plagiarism Académique (Geneva), representative of MEN in ETINED- Council of Europe (2016-2018).
PROFILE
Marian Popescu is professor, theater critic, translator of English drama, editor, researcher, author of 7 volumes on theater and performing arts.
Prof. Marian Popescu is the founder and director of the Center for Academic Integrity (CARFIA) at the University of Bucharest.
He taught at several universities in Bucharest (UNATC, Journalism and Communication Sciences), Sibiu (Founded the Department of Theater Art), Cluj (Faculty of Theater and Film) where he leads PhDs in the field of Theater-Performing Acts, and in France at Université d’Artois and Université Rennes 2.
Marian Popescu is guest expert in the European Commission in the fields of Cultural Cooperation and Literature.
