Dalina is specialized in business administration and teaching methods using case studies at Harvard Business School USA, Program for Management Development (PMD68, Executive Education, 1994) and Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning (Harvard Business School, 2004). Dr. Dumitrescu has a Ph.D. in Economics, at ASE Bucuresti.

She was Dean of IBAB and a member in the Advisory Board of the ASEBUSS Foundation until September 2011.


She collaborated as a consultant and trainer with many companies and non-profit organizations: Ductil, Scandia, Alcatel, Petrom, the European Commission – translations department. She ensured over 2000 hours of consultancy and professional training in financial management for companies, value-based management, business evaluation, risk management, financial criteria for selecting investment projects, budget and public finance, measurement of employees’ satisfaction.

She was auditor for Egnatia Bank and collaborated in the privatization process of large companies, by elaborating the evaluation reports. She also worked with NBR (National Bank of Romania) specialists, in the making of stock market legislation. She evaluates projects financed by the European Commission. She was expert in making of METRIS (Monitoring European Trends in the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities).

Dr. Dumitrescu is auditor and author of several books and scientific articles.


Dr. Dumitrescu is a Ph.D advisor, member of CNCSIS and representative of the European Science Foundation (2002-2008), including Core Group (2006-2008).

She obtained a post-doc scholarship for research from La Commission Federale Suisse (Fribourg University) and was trained in finance at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), Reading University (UK), the World Bank Institute (Budapest), University of Social Sciences (Toulouse, France).

As ESF representative, Dr. Dumitrescu participated in more than seven international workshops. She is member of the scientific and editorial board for three Romanian magazines and an international one.
